It was about a year ago that I set out to hike a route from North Austin to South Austin through predominantly greenspaces. It took me two full days of hiking and a bit of bushwacking. Here’s a chronicle of the hike. I admit that the video is long and there is some shaky footage and scratchy audio, but it kind of captures what was happening at the moment. While I was hiking I was charting the route so that I could publish it with the hope that others might enjoy the longest hiking route in Austin, Texas.

Hello, my name is Troy (a.k.a. @troyfromtexas). I think that I am a pretty ordinary person, but I know that I have lived an extraordinary life. My passions include adventure travel, backpacking, fishing, motorcycling and playing just about any sport. I'm a Native Texan which means that I am honest, gentlemanly, proud, strong willed, entrepreneurial and adventurous. I created this website to share information about my passion for traveling. I hope that you find this website to be informational, entertaining and perhaps inspirational. Come back often, subscribe, join me on Facebook and Instagram. Send me a comment. I love hearing from fellow travelers. If I am traveling and away from an internet connection I may not be able to respond right away, but I will read and will try to respond to everything. Finally, share this website with your friends and family. It is always more fun to go on an adventure with good company. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy! Troy View all posts by troyfromtexas
